LET ME EXPLAIN!

In the corporate and business world, I’ve often preached about the importance of self-branding, and awareness of how you are perceived. And, when I say ‘preached’ I do mean it. I guess its down to the journey I’ve been on in business, let me explain….

We all know that you shouldn’t care about how other people perceive you, and that the only opinion that matters is that of those closest to you. Me, I take it to heart, the slightest assertion or remark, I honestly take it quite badly. Whether it’s a struggle with self-confidence, or an issue of self-doubt, I’m not quite sure. A good friend & colleague recently told me that I’ve a constant habit of selling myself short, that I underestimate the understanding I have of what I offer clients. And in truth I guess I do, most likely borne out of the peaks and troughs of my own business life.

For years I’ve been a sponge, listening to business owners and colleagues, absorbing their issues and making them my own. I guess I empathise with them, I’ve been on some journey in business myself. My experience is that the business journey does not have separate ‘Peaks and Troughs’ as you imagine on a neat line graph, they intertwine, they collide, they are instant.

I understand the needs of business owners, I understand the brilliant skills of those I work alongside, so why not use that understanding in a meaningful way. Why not build a bespoke team for each individual client based on their actual needs. A form of Marketing Collaboration, so that clients get the best individuals working together with a common goal. So, WeeBiz Media is changing, for the better — A new brand is being created, a self-brand: Ken Tobin, Marketing Strategy Consultant.

It will be business as usual with Social Media, but now there’s a lot more work to be done — Managing, Coordinating, Motivating, Creating and Planning the stories that businesses & organisation need to communicate….A new Peak.
