Why is it hard to fall in love?

You never fall in love easily, but once you do, you give it your all. For you, relationships have always been more than just exchanging ‘i love you’s’ and hanging out on weekends.

And perhaps, that is the reason why it hurts you so much when relationships just end, and people leave without closure.

For you, it has always been about growing together in happiness and sticking with each other through thick and thin.

As much as people tease you for being so serious, you don’t mind it at all. Because if there is one thing that you want to be disciplined at is relationships. You don’t believe in the modern way of dating or hookups.

When you commit, you make sure that the other person is happy and comfortable with you. You work on yourself to be better for them.

And that is why your heart breaks into a million pieces when people decide to just leave and forget their promises of never giving up.

Now, you are a few heartbreaks old. There are people who told you they loved you in the morning and left you before the sunset. You tried so hard to stop them but they didn’t. You have cried yourself to sleep on nights that you’ve lost count of.

You never really fully recover from a failed relationship, because maybe it doesn’t make sense to you – how people just leave.

So now, you are very careful with getting involved, because it hurts too much. It leaves you heartbroken.
