As a member of the Milwaukee Bucks Digital Content team, I have come to respect the voice and relationship we have curated with our fans. As a small market team, the Bucks have made a name for themselves via their social platforms. The Bucks engage with followers, use humor, and produce quality multimedia content. These are the reasons they are my #1 team on social.

The emotional, behind-the-scenes content is typically my favorite.

I am a huge fan of gifs and our fan base also tends to enjoy reposting these.

We use the hashtag “Fear The Deer” on each one of our posts. This hashtag allows fans to also engage with us. It serves as a type of catch phrase for our organization.

Fan content is a great way to make the Bucks’ faithful feel like they are a part of the #1 team in the NBA.

We started to use lyrics by artists from the city we are playing (if plausible). This has gained the attention of many, even non-fans. It is just something we thought would be creative and differentiate us.

I think I have come to respect the hard work that goes into creating a social presence that engages, excites, and makes you want to share with a friend. I give kudos to the Bucks for bringing a small market team to a big stage without losing the personality and voice that people have loved for years.
