7 Successful Lessons from The Richest Man in the World

On a hot summer day in Bellevue, young Jeff Bezos stood alone in his parent’s garage, his mind racing. He had a grand plan, a plan that would change the way people shop forever. He called it the…

Street Photography Is An Art Form.

I heard that on an old video by a photographer named Len.

The video was made in 2012.

Sadly, a year later Len had passed away.

His words still resonate with me.

I love street. I am a native New Yorker. I was chasing images at a young age. I relocated down south after I graduated from college. I moved to podunk USA to get a job at a newspaper as a staffer. That was so many lifeyears ago. Now I am semi retired and roam the streets with vintage film gear from the 1950s.

I relocated from Mayberry to the deep, rural south and yes their is a big difference between moving south and moving to the deep south. I love gulf coast living, the beaches are beautiful, but as I age, I miss the big apple. I miss living on Long Island. I miss the energy of the city. I do not miss the snow, the cold or the high cost of living.

Beach- Film Capture- Xa2

I have been gone from the island since 1987. I never went back. I never had the time, or the energy. Maybe now is a good time to go back for an extended visit. I have done some street in other cities, and it was fun, but still it is not the big apple. I love New Orleans, the people, the food, the rhythm.

I love shooting street at the beach, not quite Coney Island but still, beachy and touristy, and nature-y.

Film Capture

I found some great vintage cameras last weekend at an estate sale.

Let me hop off of the computer and go run some film through those beauties.

Street Photography Is An Art Form.

Thanks Len, I needed to hear that today.

Thinking outside the box, they say street doesn't sell. You cant earn a living from it; well, my rebellious mind wont accept that. Perhaps a gallery dedicated to street art photography is in my future?
